Full time genrally means atleast 9 credit hours per semster (could be more).
If you are in the same job for the same employer and are performing your 40 hours , it's better to be on that H1-B or AOS(EAD) status. This might not be possible in every university and or every graduate program but some of them have evening classes mostly. so you just get into your program and take classes but your status is H1-B or EAD (some universities even consider you domestic or instate for tuition purposes if you were working in that state for more tan year prior to begining the program.
AOS in that case is not jeopardised. I am in your exact situation, and this is what I understand. Always consult your attorney before you proceed.

Premium processing is not against american values or any other values.
Just because its the government you are dealing with here instead of a private company does not mean there should not be options for faster service for extra fee.
If premium processing is against American values, then in that case, express-mail offered by USPS for extra charge is against American values. Express mail does not slow down first-class 39-cent mail but it provides an ALTERNATIVE to a consumer or citizen to go with better quality service for a fee. For a few dollars, you mail would reach somewhere overnight instead of 3 days.
Also, by that token, first-class travel is against American values? Would you rather that it go away too?

That is true but I want one of them to be rejected and by not responding to FP and stopping payment on checks I am trying to exactly that.
I think it is always better to come clean and withdraw one of the applications. It is not a good idea to let them REJECT one. They may have two different A numbers, but both are with same name and if you don't attend finger printing that might cause a bad remark (Who knows what happens behind the scenes :( ). Consult a good immigration attorney and follow his/her advise.

I am on H1 since 2005 and renewed last year and it is valid till april 2010.
Last year i joined directly to the client and they are processing my GC.
When they hired me they gave me list of projects and future plans for more then 5 years but this work is not IT driven and manufacutring in having late back attitude so my fear is if there are not projects in the future i may loose the job then at that point i will have very little time to get my labour approves abd re start the process...
So as back up i want to have a labour approve based on future employment and if possible have 140 processed.
guide me if this is not the correct thing to do...

Totally agree on the information front.
Our stress levels will be in control if everyone of us knows their case status.
I dont understand the secrecy in providing the information which pertains to us, maybe they themselves dont have clear picture.

The last time i talked to iio, she said they are processing I485s received in Apr, 2007 and they will start mine in 2 or 3 months.(mine was received on july 24th and pd is eb3 oct 2003). she said, they will process the applications even if the pd is not current but only approve if the pd is current.

Much as we all would like to believe the statement below, do we have any actual study done that concludes that x number of people were prevented from immigrating and look they went home and did these great things?

Well contextually speaking...immigration benefits are for Cubans living in Cuba and for those who are already living here (BTW 75% of the total Cuban population in the US live in Fla so no surprises on the "vote bank" politics here) they are already US citizens.

One piece of advice might be to go for something much less expensive first, to see if you actually like digital photography - the second hand prices are pretty abysmal for these things, so unless you think you are a really good salesman when it comes to selling your old stuff on E-bay or such, it would be less of a risk to you to get either a used P&S or a new, less expensive model.
There are many things that make a difference between a DSLR and a "Advanced P&S" (Pro-sumer P&S or whatever you like to call the category that the Sony ends up in). But in the end, there's only a few of those that actually show in the photos:
1. noise levels - the smaller sensor on the P&S (about half the size compared to the DSLR) means more noise in the picture, especially at high ISO [when you take pictures in rather dark circumstancs].
2. The flexibility in focal length - the P&S has a fixed optical system, you can't really change it [yes, you can buy extra lenses to screw on the front and such, but it's really not that great]. This shows up, usually, more at the wide-angle end than on the telephoto end. The Sony here has a 31-465mm equivalent lens. That's pretty good, but 31mm is on the "narrow end of wide-angle", and you don't really have much choice to fix that. 465mm is plenty for most people.
It's your money, so you spend it as you like :)

For Christ sake...the PD's are stuck in Windows 2000 era (even Windows 98 era). We have had XP, Vista and now Windows 7 and we are expected to work on Windows 98?
So in case of an RFE, do we plead saying Windows 98/Windows 2000 are obselete no sensible (profitable) business uses it and I have to work on Windows Vista?
